Oh where oh where to put the homepage button on a website. Typically from usability studies it should be provided in on the left side in the main navigation bar. Also, your logo should be hyper linked to your homepage as well. But I seen the homepage button in many other areas as well. Users still want and need this little button to get back home. Most newer web users are not familiar with clicking on logo. Just make sure its somewhere in the header of each page to be safe. Thought? Comments?

Logo as link-to-home only. Never a Home link in nav. Takes up valuable space for other more necessary navigation. Give your clients that rationale and they will thank you down the road when they want to add navigation and you've ensured that there is room to grow.
Thanks for the comment. You have a good point and as much as I would like to agree with you...I have to beg to differ. In our usability studies, most users (especially the older demographic), still are not trained to click the logo to go back to home. The goal is to make a website user friendly. Frustrated users will just leave, and possibly head over to your competitor.
